Serving The Federal Employee Community

Alexis Jones

Retirement Benefits Educator
Alexis Jones

Alexis Jones brings to Retirement Benefits Institute over 30 years of experience in federal employee benefits programs. During her career with two dynamic federal agencies, she had an opportunity to develop and present in-depth federal retirement briefings for the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) including health (FEHB) and life insurance (FEGLI), Thrift Savings Program (TSP), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Federal Long-Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP), and Social Security/Medicare benefits for thousands of employees.

Alexis is retired now, and enjoying her new life with her faithful companion (dog), Amber, in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1987, she began a second career as a Federal Retirement Benefits Educator providing briefings to employees and their spouses at federal agencies throughout the U.S. Critiques of her seminars often include accolades on her depth of knowledge, and her ability to explain retirement benefits in a language that is easy to understand. She embraces life and gets excited when she finds herself helping other feds learn and understand more about the benefits of working for Uncle Sam. She loves to travel to new places, and is constantly drawn back to the idea that she may someday “live at the beach, watching the waves in the ocean, and seeing the sun rise or set in the water”. If you add family to that mix, life doesn’t get any better than that.
